Quick Question about enlarged lymph nodes... - General Health Message Board

Hi all! I was wondering if it was normal for lymph nodes to continue swelling while on antibiotics? The lymph nodes have been swollen for a while, and I went to the doctor early last week and I was put on antibiotics to see if they help reduce the size of the lymph nodes, but they haven't. I haven't been worried about the lymph nodes, I figured they were probably from allergies or an infection that I may not have noticed, but now I am slightly concerned/curious.

A couple weeks ago, I was on antibiotics for a sinus infection. While on the antibiotics, I developed swollen lymph nodes on the back of my head. That hadn't happened before. I went to the doctor and he diagnosed them. He advised me to use, ice, tylenol and wait 10 days. After a few days they got smaller. If they had been in place on day 10, I would have gone back in for a biopsy.
