Think I swallowed a whitening strip? - General Health Message Board

A stupid thing to do but not on purpose. I have been using them for an upcoming wedding and put the strips on at night, read, then remove them. Apparently I fell asleep and kind of remember swallowing when I realized they were still on. The top one was there, but I could not find the bottom one! I'm sure I swallowed it.

It felt like something stuck in my chest and I tried coughing to get it up and couldn't. Wondering about all that stuff in my stomach. Felt a little nauseous this morning...little better now. Know I need to check the box; at work now. Thanks

You should be fine (and as a matter of fact your morning nausea was probably due to your worrying about it more than anything else). Coughing won't do it, it's in your gastrointestinal tract now and will pass as everything else does.

Thanks for replying. I figured as much, it will pass. Just needed that extra boost of "all should be fine" I guess. And yes, worrying about it; on top of a wedding the weekend after this!
