New Knee cracking After Knee sprain...Normal?

I had a knee sprain before in the same knee, healed. But i did gain a knee crack..But it kind of s ettled.

Well 2 weeks ago I sprained again by a simple light jump. And this time i got a new audible crack when i lift my leg and bend. As i said, the knee has been healing pretty good. I can walk almost normal now but the cracking is noticeable.
It doesn't hurt when it crack, it just cracks.

I'm 28 male

Re: New Knee cracking After Knee sprain...Normal?

Anyone read my post?

Well, i'll explain what's happening now.

My knee is fine in terms of bending. Pain is almost gone and it's been two weeks since this happened but somewhere in my knee i ihear a crack after I lift my knee and then bring it down and straighten it.

But there's no pain from doing that. just cracks. NOt always, but most times

Hey,

I've made a post earlier this week about the same type of thing. Difference is that I've never actually sprained by legs/ knees at all and I play a lot of sports but just that every now and then (like every hour) I stretch my knees out and hear cracking sounds when I lift up my knees up (I think its from my knees, or could it be from the thigh just above it?) = no pain at all, sometimes a bit of discomfort where I need to crack it.

Its really weird because it never hurts and nothing specific or anything caused it- and i'm 22. Although it doesn't stop me from playing sports and going out but there is room for concern!

I'm going to get it checked out next week after my final exams.

Sorry if I couldn't be of much help, but do keep up posted if you find out what it could be.

Re: New Knee cracking After Knee sprain...Normal?

Ok, i'm back.

Let me give you an update. Thanks for the post by the way, seems you just have new cracks . before this i developed cracks from i guess wear and tear, but I got used to them. I read something about knee cracking and they were talking about how It is no problem if it doesnt hurt. you seeem fine but doing sports there could be a possibility of wear and tear.

ok, so let me tell you what has happened.

Im having a lot of feeling of knots in the knee and thigh ligament/muscle, ..i dont know how to explain it..cause there's nothing that can be seen physically. I'm not bruised and i'm not swollen but now i have knots. It happens when i try to walk( and bend and straighten the knee) or just if i stand and bend my knee up then bring it down and straighten it. The point between bent and straightened..brings about a weird sensation that feels like knots..like if ropes were twisting.

These knots sensation feels starting in some ligament in the knee cap and up to mid thigh. IT's not PAIN as in ouch it hurts, but it's feeling like twisting or stretching the fibers. very very weird and scary.

Have you tried massaging or stretching the muscles that feel knotted?

I wouldn't be too worried about the cracking as long as it doesn't hurt when it cracks.

I'm gonna try to massage thanks for the tip.

It's interesting how if i have my knee bent when sitting, i feel like nothing is wrong. no pain , nothing , but when i stand up and try to walk i feel knots.
