| Neck / Gland problems! ?
Hi all,
My name is martin, I am 21 years of age, for as long as I can remember I have always had a “Post Nasal Drip” I always have to spit saliva, Deep breath in via nose and clear my throat to clear the build up of mucus. It is something that gets worse when I am ill. I have seen my GP and had some tests over the years and I get told its nothing, try a nasal spray, it seems the spray only makes things worse, seems to produce more mucus and in turn I spit more. I suffer from mouth Ulcers (may have nothing to do with things) and at times I can have 3 – 5 very angry ulcers in my mouth.
On the right of my face, under my chin it is very tender and painful to touch, a dull aching pain constantly. I “think” it may be my Sublingual gland or maybe Submandibular gland (can’t be anything else really, lol) either way this happens a few times a month and may last up to a week. Pain is bearable but far from comfortable.
Now and again I get a pain that is so unbearable it makes me sweat, dizzy and sometimes vomit, it’s almost as if my gland is being crushed, I can not pin point what area of my glands is giving me this pain, I cannot move my tongue, swallow, turn my head, talk... anything that involves my head / neck moving as this will increase the pain. I got myself into A&E last time it happened but after my 2 hours wait I managed to sort it out, I held my neck and as if I were strangling myself, gripped it hard and my throat sort of “Clicked” and the pain was gone. The time before that I leant forward on a chair to get up and for whatever reason (maybe the stretch) the same thing happened, I had to lay down and not move or swallow, I put my hands by my side lay flat and lifted my head (as if I were doing a sit up) and once again I managed to click my neck and the pain eased off, I have to make it worse to make it go. I have no idea what this is but I have to find out, it’s unbearable. It has happened 5 times in 4 years, once I woke up with it, luckily I only twisted my head and it was gone.
Please! Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks
Regards
Martin Cook
