Welcome to the boards! "Lack of oxygen" as you breathe in the smoke can cause many problems with vision...including blurred or double vision. Smoking has also been known to cause problems with eyesight in general, so it makes sense that your eyesight is affected when smoking. I would, however, get a brain scan if you can. It's probably just lack of oxygen at the times you suck the air in, but you can never be too careful.
