Hi all. I hope this finds you doing well or coping well with whatever you all are going through.
I just need some general thoughts or advise. A couple of years ago I had a lump removed from my right arm (inside bicep). It was a solid mass that continued to grow until it started pushing on a nerve and made my entire arm go numb. It turned out just to be a lipoma, phew!
A few months later another solid mass was discovered in my left breast by a CT scan being done for abdominal issues. After further testing and a biopsy it turned out to be a fibroadenoma, phew again!
Now about two weeks ago I found ANOTHER lump but this time in my left bicep, almost in the exact spot my first lipoma was in my right arm. I have not told the dr yet because it's not causing any problems (yet) and the other lumps have been benign PLUS I'm currently only 28.
But my question is why do I keep coming up with lumps (and at such a young age)? I knew there was a chance for the lipoma in my right arm to grow back but this one is new. Are some people just "lumpy"? (pardon the expression) I also know that lipomas have a very low chance of becoming cancerous so it's a good idea to get any abnormal lump checked out which I will do at some point. I am just tired of all the tests, poking and prodding; which I'm sure most of you can relate to. I have some other severe health problems that are not related so this just adds to the pot of issues.
Anyway, just wondered what anyone thinks about this. As far as cancer risks, I do have a moderate risk of getting several types of cancer anyway, and on top of it I've had so much radiation from ct scans and x-rays that unless it's absolutely unavoidable they don't do them on me for ANY reason...so that also adds a small risk of acquiring cancer.
Sorry this was so long. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this!!!
