Question Molluscum Removal

Ok,

I've had quite a few Molluscum bumps on my neck for a few months and I saw my doctor and ONE said to freeze them... another said to leave them alone and they will go away eventually and that freezing them is no guarantee that they will go away and it WILL leave a white scare behind.

I'm quite conscious of my skin and it's a very slow healer.

I read thread http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=604812 and read this guys removal technique and it's worked for him thus far.

NOW!! The second doctor told me to seek alternative methods to get them healed up. I've bought a new nail clipper, dilution formula of antiseptic to soak it before before using it... MANY alcohol swabs to swab just one of the Molluscum bumps before I cut it off then swab it again then put a 'silver' healing bandaid on it after putting tea tree oil on it to help healing.

WHY, do I want to do this? Because they're started to go down my neck and I think the Molluscum I have isn't contagiousum (I've read there's a difference) but I'm started to get them down my lower neck and a very small one on my chest... I know that I'm probably touching them in my sleep and I REALLY don't want to get these anywhere else especially since I've heard of where they can go.

General opinion: Should I go ahead with this? I won't be cutting all of them, I'll just be testing it on one.

I'm being quite safe in the fact that everything is sterilized and the alcohol should kill anything on the outside of the skin... soo yeah

Re: Molluscum Removal

the best way is to use a needle and stick it till it bleeds then squeeze it till a tiny mass comes out. it will look like cartilage. dont let the blood touch any part of the non infected areas or it WILL spread. the nail clippers will be messier and leave you at a higher risk for spreading. i had someone heat up a long skinny tube of glass w a torch and burn them off. i had over 50 bumps and they are all gone and there is no scar. if there was going to be a scar i think burning them the way i did would of left one. at anytime after they are gone the virus can come back just so your aware.
