Anyone out there have menieres? I'm trying to find someone who has it to see how they cope with the disease.

Hi wayne...after 8 yts of suffering. I was diagnoised with MILD MM.
I trid SERC...Didnt help..water pills..I was Allergic..
so now im taking a homeopathis med called Ventigo by Heel.
also some folks take Coculus(sp)

I cut out salt & am working on coffee..Its not easy..i get a few spells every day & i feel like never leaving the house.its so embaresing, b/c folks thing you are drunk or on drugs.

How r you coping?

Sorry, that I could not get back to you quicker, I was out of town for a few days.
I have had Menieres for about 5 years and it seems to be getting worse.
From your experience, is Menieres a progressive illness that seems to get worse over time? I to, have tried to reduce salt, but without success.
I am currently taking Triamterene/hctz 3.75/25mg. I have tried steroids, Medrol doze paks 21. Meclizine seems to make attacks less severe.
At this time, the hearing in my left ear, is very poor and it seems like I have Vertego most of the time.

Hi wayne.
as far as i know it does get worse..ive had hearing tests & they are normal, which is puzzling?
During a vertigo attack i lose hearing in my left ear. but only During an attack.
I did try a diuretic for a few days, but was allergic to it.

i feel sorry 4 anyone with MM.
