Any of the antibiotics can clear it up, but then you need to get it out of your gut also. So youneed to rplace the good bacteria in your intestine-I've had it and it isn't pleasant to deal with, The diahrhea is nasty and the odor is very distinctive. I don't want to go through that again thank you very much.. Sorry but it's all by script.

My elderly mother had it after a hysterectomy and my husband had it after shoulder surgery. It's BAD. Flagyl and/or vancomycin are the drugs of choice, I believe. Taking probiotics in pill form and/or yogurt will speed your recovery. Watch for dehydration and malnutrition. This is serious stuff, so take care of yourself, please!
