Slight constant pressure in leg

I've noticed for a while now that there is a very slight yet constant pressure in my right leg, on the underside of my thigh, just above the knee joint. Could this be a sign of a blood clot? It isn't painful, and there are no physical markings at the spot that I can see, but it's just a subtle discomfort.

The men in my family have a history of high cholesterol, and having been tested I know that my cholesterol is high (whether or not this may be of any relevance I'm not sure, but I figured it's something that should be stated).

It might just be in my head, but I seem to notice it more now than ever.

Anyone think this is worth a trip to the doctor?

Re: Slight constant pressure in leg

If you haven't been to the doctor in a while, it would be worth going in (especially if you're older). If nothing else, you can discuss how to get your cholesterol down.

I've had pain in my legs for years. It started as a slight discomfort and gradually got worse. At one point my doctor tested the blood pressure in my legs to be sure that the blood flow/circulation was good. I finally learned that most of my pain is due to orthopedic/allignment problems causing knots in my muscles, tendons or fascia (whatever that means).
