Abdominal Pain with chills
When I got up yesterday morning, I had a sharp, mild to moderate pain in my right abdomen (definitely not muscular). I developed chills throughout the day, which were at their worst last night. I woke up this morning with no chills, but the pain is still there, no better, no worse. The pain is only bad enough to make me wince at its peak (mostly when I laugh or cough or breath in suddenly). If I push on the area I feel no pain. My family is insisting that I go get checked out, but it just doesn't seem necessary to me until the pain becomes more than a mild annoyance (or perhaps if my chills return). I just don't know. I've read a lot online, and everything points to my appendix. But, wouldn't the pain be much more severe and also have a quick onset (my brother in law had his removed, and his pain hit him suddenly without warning like a freight train; it was so bad it doubled him over). So, I'm thinking my problem can't be all that severe since the pain is moderate at best and has stayed static for two days...anybody have any experience on this or any input?
