strep throat diagnosis
My daughter had a sore throat and no voice last week. Took her to doctor and the rapid test came back negitive. They sent it to the lab. She feels better now, no sore throat, voice is back. The lab test is positive. Why is the symtoms gone if she has strep

I have had something like that happen to me when I was younger.

I went to the doctor for my physical and the doctor ordered a strep test. I didn't need to wait for lab results because the rapid test came back positive. I had no sore throat nor did I feel sick. I guess it is possible not to have the symptoms.

Even if she is still not having symptoms it is still a good idea to take the antibiotics the doctor prescribed.
