Prolonged illness, any ideas?

Hi

I have been sick for just over 3 weeks now. For the first 2 weeks I would get nausea, vomiting, diahrea, and constapation. Thanks to grovel I was able to get along with my life, my work, etc. The vomiting was occassional, only a few nights in the entire 2 weeks.

It was after the 2 weeks that things got far worse: Extreme Nausea, a constant foul taste in my mouth, dizziness, weakness, strained breathing, tight chest, minor (very minor) abdominal pain, and I get dehydrated very easily.

I have been to emergency once, and urgent care once: I am currently waiting on the results for an ultrasound and a blood test. The blood test is testing for a certain type of bacteria that causes stomach ulcers. Emergency gave me an intravenus to rehydrate me and then sent me on my way without any tests or anything.

I have been very lucky to snag a temporary doctor (for as long as this illness is in effect) and he is to call me back with an appointment for a specialist.

I have never been this ill in my life, I have missed a week of work and with Christmas around the corner I am simply miserable.

Does these symptoms sound familar to anyone?
