I slipped on a patch of ice and fell . My left pinky finger has been hurting since then which was 4 weeks ago. I didnt see a doctor . The finger still looks swollen and hurts when i bend it. Could it be broken?

Re: broken pinky finger?

there is always that possibility when you do what you did that you could have broken it. getting an x ray would rule that out or in. more than likely it is a sprain and not an actual break but you really wont know whether this is soft tissue damage(sprain or strain) or a break til you have this evaluated and x rayed. that really is the only way to truely know for certain. you just really need this looked at and the proper treatments Rxed for it depending upon what actually shows upon having that x ray. hopefully you just strained it and it will keep getting better. but you DO need that x ray to know for sure. please keep me posted, FB
