No expert here, but based on my brief research the market is flooded with calcium products. Buyer beware -- do your research.
Calcium itself is relatively insoluble and very hard to absorb from supplements, particularly those huge rock-hard tablets -- encapsulated powered forms seem to be preferred.
Also, choose a calcium that won't upset your stomach, calcium in general is notorious for this.
Get the right amount of Vitamin D -- D is necessary for calcium absorption. Hopefully your doc informed you of the necessary mg's of Vitamin D you should be taking.
