hematoma after angiogram

I had an angiogram over a week ago. Two days ago, I noticed a painful lump in my groin above the proceedure site. It was painful. I went into the hospital and had an ultrasound test. The surgeon told me it is a hematoma and that it is not dangerous and that it would disolve on it's own. Last night I awakened and it was oozing and when I stood up, it actually dripped reddish liquid. It was blood at first, then oozed a lighter liquid, like blood mixed with lighter color fluid.
Quite a bit of liquid came out. The flow has slowed all during today and it is still painful. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to help it?
Thank you,
