My sinuses are abviously infected, not only neon yellow and green bit very very thick. I have unbearable pressure in my head, pain in my ears and head, shooting pain at times. My ears have a ringing and pressure sound in them. I cannot bear to blow my nose due to the pain in my ears. I have already taken 875 mg of amoxicikkin 2x for 10 days. Everyone else in my family has gotten better. Why not me?

You need to have another round of antibiotics. The first round didn't do it for you. Sometimes Amoxicillin isn't strong enough to fight it off. Because you stiil have the wonderful colored snot that the best indication that you are still fighting an infection.

Get yourself back into the doctor and get another round of drugs. OR at least call and ask the nurse-NOT the receptionist if you can just have them phone in another round of antibiotiocs. I don't know how well your doctor knows you. Sometimes if they are close to you they will just phone in another scipt for you.. either way you need more...

If you have green stuff still and your ears are stopped up and hurting you have a major sinus infection.

I had one from January 08 to June 08!. I was on steroids twice and 3 rounds of antibiotics the last one Levaquin for 3 bloomin' weeks. My doc finally ordered a CT scan and could see that the infection was still in there. hence the 3 week regimen.

After 6 months I felt better. So don't be surprised if you don't bounce back after the first round.

Go back to the doc. You have probably blown a bunch of phlegm up into the ear canal. Man, that can hurt.

Also, use a Neti Pot to clean out your sinuses each morning. It can work wonders. And get more antibiotics...
