nodes bad locations incomplete needle biopsy

What do you do when you are an elderly person and two 3 mm nodes are discovered on the left side of your chest? One is deep in the ribcage and one is by the sternum. ( And the doctor determines it is too risky to cut the person open. My dad is having heart trouble at this time. A plugged artery. )Now the doctor says they will just
