Colon cleanser and flushing?

I am looking too flush my colon/stomache out. I am not sure what stuff at walgreens will actually work. Seeing how times are hard and i have little cash. I would really like to see what works and what doesnt before i waste money. My wife has tried a couple and says they did not work but that may just be here though.

I really just want to flush the insides out, i feel like i have to it is a weird feeling. I feel if i was to flush out i would feel great relief, i cannot explain the feeling but i never had it before. I sorta feel like my body is saying this is a good time to flush for the future of my health lol thanks everyone...

Re: Colon cleanser and flushing?

In the Cancer: Colon and Rectal forum, there is at least one discussion about colonoscopy prep methods. You may want to read there. (Though if you are doing it because of colonoscopy or other medical procedure, your physician should be giving you instructions anyway.)

Re: Colon cleanser and flushing?

Could you be feeling not so good on the inside due to what you eat/drink? these days it's so easy to slip into the habit of convenience foods and too many soda drinks.

If diet isn't your issue and you simply feel 'blah' on the inside, i do know using psyllium husks works. You simply buy them dried ( a lot of supermakerts sell it in the healthfood isle) you mix them with a glass of water and drink it, but you must make sure you drink at least one or two more glasses of water afterwards. They absorb a lot of the water and act as a "brush" and cleans the inside naturally. You don't need to do this daily either. You can get by on doing it once a week. It's cheaper doing it this way than bying things like metamucil (sp?) and other premade products.

In addition, drink more water naturally through your day, your insides could be dehydrated. it could also be your diet, lack of fresh fruit/vegetables, unsufficient fibre in your diet. cut back on gluten containing foods too, 1 in 4 people are actually gluten intolerant. A lot of the time we can make our own cleansing diets by simply eating fresh and natural and saying no to things in cans/jars/packets or those frozen convenience foods.

After doing this if you still feel not too good then it could be something else. You might want to have a blood test too and check the levels of various things. Sometimes being low in a certain vitamin or nutrient can make you feel off and lack energy eg; ferretin (iron stores), vitamin D, B12, zinc. The lab results for ferretin, Vit D and B12 should all be at the higher end of the range too.
