Stomach pain around navel - General Health Message Board

For Id say about over 6 months now Ive had stomach issues. One of them I had some tests done for and it was discovered I need my gallbladder out, but there is another pain that is worrying me. I have crampy, sometimes sudden sharp pains in the center of my stomach, there is another pain that goes down to the right and left of my stomach in my groin, it doesn't last for very long periods of time. But it does happen daily. Ive been under a lot of stress, so the Doc thought it might be ulcers, they never did any tests jus prescribed me some medicine that didn't seem to help anything. Ive gone to the hospital and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, without having to do a cat scan. I did have an ultra sound done of all my other organs they checked out fine. Im really worried there is something wrong with my intestines.

Anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong? Of course Ive looked around the internet and saw all the horror stories of people complaining of stomach pain, then randomly dying. So by now Im a lot freaked out. I will have insurance within the next month or so so hopefully I can get taken care of what needs done, but for now I need my mind at ease.

hi,this sounds very simlar to my pain but i have bad back pains also. i had ultrasound done to check kidneys and ovarys which was fine but it wasnt until the next day i started with pain around and above belly button and they never scanned me there!!!! my doc say theres nothin wrong but i dont feel right atall,so im paying myself for another ultrasound and i will make sure they check everything this time!!! but i know gallbladder can cause pain around bellybutton as a doctor at the hospital told me that before. did you have scan all over your abdomen?? if not you could ask for another,even for just peace of mind so you dont worry. i should get my scan within the nxt couple of days. i try not to read too much on the internet as it freaks me out with all the nasty things it could be!!!!but i know it is a worry!! x
