Question painless lump in forearm

I have had this lump in my arm for the past two or more years. It is situated between my elbow and wrist and at the back of my arm i.e, facing away from my body. Lately, it has become bigger and is starting to harden up. It is not at all painful.
Should i be worried?

Re: painless lump in forearm

I wouldn't worry but I would get it checked out either way, especially if it's growing. Even if it's completely benign (could be a cyst, or my bf gets these lumps that are fatty deposits under his skin), if it keeps growing it could get painful. Start out with your general physician to get an opinion on it.

I agree! It may not be painless now but it could become very painfull and any "lump" should be brought to the attention of your family doctor!

Re: painless lump in forearm

My guess it is just a cyst. I had one just above my knee for years and I kept bumping it and it was getting bigger and bigger and really not so nice looking sticking out of my leg so after 10+years I had it removed...it was some sort of rare type of cyst I was glad to see it gone.
