sore skin

i have been having this sore skin problem for 5 or 6 years.Very senisitve to touch like some rubbing your sun burn, and in the beginning it was only on 1 side of my face and it even hurt to chew food , blink. combing my hair was a chore as my scalp hurt so much. Now it has gotten worse and has affected more parts of my body .Hurts to wear clothing.Dr. doesn't seem to know what it could be.Had 2 mri scans. just wondering anyone else has had this problem and what was done about it

Re: sore skin

I could make a guess if it was only on your face or if it didn't last so long, but I'm not sure of anything that would be that long term. On another note I actually have very similar symptoms but mine are sporatic in location on the body and when it occurs. For instance I will get really sensitive on my thigh and it hurts for anything to touch it. Then it will go away. Then two months later I'll get that symptom on a portion of my arm. Never looked into the cause though, it seems to be more of an annoyance for me.
I hope you get some answers!

Re: sore skin

Fibromyalgia will cause sore areas that come and go on various parts of the body. I just weather it out and try not to touch the areas and make sure no one else touches me.

A simple light brush of clothes can be miserable and when someone touches the area it will smart for hours.

Doctors do not know what causes Fibro and really do not know how to treat it. Yeah, they toss anti-depressants at patients, however, i refuse to take them. They claim it is not inflammation. Areas I have feel warm to the touch at times.
