Right-side lung pain, spreads to shoulder/neck/chin

I feel pain in my right lung, its not sharp, but its constantly there, its a а feeling of something soar inside, deep, when I breathe in, and it sometimes spreads (like a prolonged-pulling feeling) into my right shoulder/neck/chin.

Im sure its not the nerves in my ribs, its the lung. Its been there for over 2 weeks now, and not getting better. I am a heavy smoker for 8 yrs, but I quit about 2 weeks ago. I'm 23, male.

call your dr. right now. or go to the ER. your symptoms are alarming. the way you describe your symptoms makes me think heart attack, except that you are so young. anyway, this needs to be evaluated ASAP.

symptoms of a heart attack may include:

"Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms. The pain may be mild to intense. It may feel like pressure, tightness, burning, or heavy weight. It may be located in the chest, upper abdomen, neck, jaw, or inside the arms or shoulders."
"Not all of these signs occur in every attack. Sometimes they go away and return. If some occur, get help fast."

sorry, i hope i'm not overreacting but a co-worker of mine had similar symptoms a few years ago and did have a heart attack. i could be wrong but go get it checked out, anyway.

Re: Right-side lung pain, spreads to shoulder/neck/chin

It also could be pneumonia or you simply turned the wrong way and possibly pulled a muscle. Do you have a primary care doctor? I would suggest giving the office a call and request an urgent appointment.
I hope you feel better soon.
