Back of head and neck always itching!

Just trying to figure out why the back of my head by the base of my skull and my neck always itches so much. What is causing this?? Expecially the base of my skull near the occiput. Is it flexuating hormones?? I use dandruff type shampoo now too.

Re: Back of head and neck always itching!

What kind of soap do you wash your pillowcases in? Or what is on them?

When I had an allergic reaction to my hair conditioner, my head was fine, but my ears, sides of cheeks, neck and upper bosom (everywhere my wet hair leaned on) broke out. Don't know what shampoo might do.

Re: Back of head and neck always itching!

I use Tide for the front loader washer. I am not sure if that's it, but you bring up a great point. I will check into that. Thanks for you help.

Re: Back of head and neck always itching!

I can't use any "regular" detergent, only stuff with "free and clear" on it. Pretty much any brand is fine, as long as it's the hypoallergenic version.

Re: Back of head and neck always itching!

I may have to try dreft or something. I just itch and itch...but it can be at anytime of the day. I am wondering if it is perimenopause trouble or the detergent. It's most likely one or the other.
