I've had 2 dvt's - both related to estrogen - which I no longer take. I use compression stockings for long drives and plane trips. I have had 4 plane rides in the past 3 weeks - for a total of 14 hours. I am concerned about another dvt as the inside of my thigh hurts like hell, some behind the knee, and up in the groin. There was no pain in the calf until later this afternoon (my symptoms have been showing up for 2 1/2 days). I do not see swelling or redness, but the pain was so bad during the night I was awaken from a deep sleep. I hate to go in and find out that it's just a muscular thing going on...but I did use heat on my leg last night, pain pill and Motrin and no relief. I have the feeling of heat thru my foot as well. Hate to make that call and find be foolish...
