Question Chest Pain - Almost like stitch

Hi,

Don't know whether this is the correct part to post in, but I have a weird pain in my chest (sorry to be crude but in between my boobs..) It's more painful when I deep breath in although it still hurts when I breath in normally.

I haven't got indigestion or wind(again sorry to be crude!) so I am not sure what it could be.

I haven't had any problems with my heart before, but I did used to get panic attacks about a year or so ago. And I am not able to sleep because 'something is on my mind'.

Can anyone give me any advice?

hi Cazzey,

Keep in mind chest pains should never be ignored. You really should see your doctor for tests to determine or ruleout cardiac.

I hope you do see your doc very soon.

Walking pneumonia has been going around from young to old....they don't even know you have it. If this 'pain' is getting worse or you are more tired than normal or running a temp. or it is lasting more than a week I would go have someone listen to your lungs or even better get a chest xray. Good luck.

Re: Chest Pain - Almost like stitch

Hi,

Just to let you all know, after spending 6 hours in A&E on saturday - After being in immense pain.

I had numerous tests (ECG, Blood tests, Urine tests, blood pressure) and I have been diagnosed with Anxiety as I had previously thought.

I am still in a lot of pain but I have been advised to try walking or running to relax me a little.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Re: Chest Pain - Almost like stitch

Hi to everyone,
I have suffered from chest pains ever since i had a chest infection 10 years ago.
I was getting all sorted of strange pains on my left side, the main and most painful pain was like a stabbing stitch in between my ribs.
I have every test under the sun and looked into everything that it could possibly be i always through i have something wrong with my heart....but when i got that checked out and it wasn't that i gave up trying to find out what it was.
The best advice I can give is check out everything you can possibly check out but don't spend your life going to hospital as you just might not ever find out that is causing the pain!
