Sweating head.

My head sweats day & night but not constantly. No where else. My hands are always very warm to the touch and just recently my feet have been getting cold. So much that I have to wear socks to bed. I had to start buzzing my head otherwise my hair would look like I just stepped out of the shower. At night I wake up & turn the pillow over it gets so wet. When I sit down to eat anything I have a fork in one hand and paper towel in the other. I am 56 years old and this has been going on for 5 or more years. I take meds for type ll diabetes, high cholestoral, slightly elevated blood pressure, anxiety or as my wife calls them, my nice pills, and something for joint pain.

Re: Sweating head.

Head sweats could be a side effect of one of your meds (corticosteroids are especially known for this) or an endocrine problem.

Diabetes can sometimes cause "gustatory" sweating - sweating of the scalp, neck and cheeks when eating, drinking or even thinking about food.

See your doc, head sweats could be a sign of something serious, get it checked out.
