kefir

I started taking kefir today. It was recently recommended to me as i seem to be having digestive problems. I bought the Liberty brand and started with half a cup today. I was just wondering if any of you use this. How much should i be having in a day. I did some research on it and some people are reporting gas and flatulence i'm using this to help me with the problem not give me more gas. Can anyone tell me how much to start with and they're own experiences with it. thanks
