Can yogurt cause diarrhea?

It may sound strange, but it seems that eating (Greek) yogurt regularly causes me to have diarrhea. Is this possible

Thanks in advance.....

Re: Can yogurt cause diarrhea?

Two possible ways:

1. Your intestine finds that the bacteria in the yogurt are something that it does not like.

2. The yogurt contains some lactose, and you do not produce enough lactase to break it down, so bacteria in your intestine get to it and annoy your intestine.

Yes, I thought maybe I'm lactose intolerant. Thanks for the reply.

This can be very possible. If you are lactose intolerant than you should stop taking it. What about milk? Do you drink milk?

Well if you drink very cold milk it can happen sometimes.
But if you drink it rarely, then this is not what is causing your problem.
