Tingling hands while coughing..

Hi folks.. for the last couple months my allergies have flared up which make me cough.. whenever i cough hard i get a shock/tinglin sensation in my hands.. what causes this?

My best guess is that you have a nerve in your neck that gets pinched when you cough. Sometimes the bones in your neck can get a little bit out of line. You should see your doctor for an evaluation. If your doctor is an osteopath, they can do some manipulation that might put things right.

I wouldn't put it off too long because, the longer your spine is out of allignment, the more it wants to stay that way.

While Robert is right, it could also be your shoulder. Dont want to get technical so I wont. You have a brachial plexus which is a bunch of nerves that arise from your vertebrae. It can veryoften become impinged in your shoulder. You may not feel any pain in your shoulder but can feel the pain wherever your nerves are going to...you fingers, hand, wrist, elbow etc etc. If you are getting tingling it is to do with your nerves and you should go and see someone about that.
