Worried about my health.

Hello, My name is Cole and I have always been athletic and pretty healthy, but things changed one day. I woke up and could not move without a pain in the right side of my chest so intense that I would fall to the ground, and everything would go white. This lasted all day and I just stayed on the couch in pain. Ever since that day I have been completely paranoid about my health.

Heart palpatations are a regular thing now, and Its most noticeable in my stomach. I know that it is somewhat normal to see your aorta beating with your heart, but mine beats so much that I can put my cell phone on my stomach and it eventually falls off from my stomach moving up and down so hard! This really makes me have severe anxiety when it happens and now I have insomnia from it, sometimes laying in bed struggling until 6 in the morning. I dont know if the palpatations are being caused by my anxiety.. but I dont think it helps any either. I may be just in an endless loop of anxiety that causes palpatations that then causes more anxiety. Do any of you have a powerful aorta like that? Its not a fast heart beat, just a regular pace but my stomach moves! This gives me an overall sense of bad health. What do you think I should do about this? Sorry about any grammatical errors or anything, Im just doing this in a hurried manner. Thanks for your help everyone.

Re: Worried about my health.

Cole, can you get in and see a doctor or to an ER room? You should be checked out.

Re: Worried about my health.

I agree with snowbunny. Some things really do require a medical opinion. If there is something wrong, then you can see about fixing it. If they find nothing, that should relieve your anxiety. But I would try to get this information sooner rather than later.

Re: Worried about my health.

I just keep putting going off... It's a lot of money.. I know my health is more important but it's hard enough as it is without all those expensive tests being done. So it's not normal for an aorta to beat that much? I'm going to call Monday and make an appointment. Now as we speak it's doing it because of how worried I am.

Re: Worried about my health.

You may not have to have expensive tests. You're doctor may be able to tell by a simple exam and maybe an EKG. Regardless, your health is worth it.
I had a heart scare a few years ago. I was certain I was having heart pains. My family literally dragged me into the hospital and made me get all kinds of expensive tests. The relief I felt over the good results, was great. Apparently, I was merely having anxiety problems. The not knowing sometimes is worse than the knowing.

Re: Worried about my health.

Also, I think most states have health care available (clinics and such) for low income people with no health insurance. Maybe you could look into that. If you think this is just anxiety you could also try taking some OTC supplements that help with that and then see if you still have the symptoms. Some OTC supplement suggestions: valarian root, Lithium Orotate, Calms Forte, and there are many others.

Best,

Jen

Re: Worried about my health.

Good advice, Jen! That would tell whether or not it's anxiety causing the problem, but I wouldn't mess around too long with this.

Re: Worried about my health.

The not knowing is definitley the worst part.. Also since that started, I started having pretty bad visual static or VS and that worries me too.

Re: Worried about my health.

All your symptoms sound so much like my friend who is combating a black mold problem in his house. He got so bad he went into the hospital and they still couldn't find his problem. He finally discovered it himself, has moved out, is much better, but is still not 100% well. If this is your problem, it is very serious. Yes, not knowing is the worst, so start doing some testing of your own. If this doesn't work, then start keeping a food log and see if you can compare how you are feeling to what you are eating.
I am so sorry that you are unable to obtain medical care for this.

The house I live in is pretty new (10 years) and the other people living there have no problems but it's worth a check
