Is this toe fungus
Can anyone tell me if this is toe fungus? I have never had this before and am very worried, its starting to become very sore. Basically the toe nail towards the tip has become raised and darker color. I started today putting savalon cream on it. Anyone seen this before?

It could be and it does look very red. Have you had it checked out? Are you Diabetic? You could even ask your local pharmacist what to try for it.

I would have it checked out as I had my husband look at it cause he had a toe fungus years ago. He said it doesn't look like what he had, but more like what Snowbunny said..an infection.

I get what looks just like this on my fingernails and it is very painful. It happens when you pull or chew at the side cuticle. Coating the nail with Neosporin and a covering with a band-aid sometimes helps. The last one I got I had to soak in hydrogen peroxide and warm water 3 times a day. I almost lost the nail it was so bad.
