bad memory

Hey, I have just turned 18, and within the past 6months to a year my memory has become increasingly bad. I have always had not a great memory, but in the past 6months-1year it has become even worse. I go to the shops, and forget why I am there. My friends try to discuss something I said a few days ago, and I can't even remember saying it. This is starting to scare me how bad my memory is anyone got any idea what could cause this sudden memory lose?

Re: bad memory

Hi several things can cause memory loss difficulties. If an antibiotic was taken and Candida inhabits the body this can be a problem for memory. If a person gets alzheimers this can cause problems. If a person has chemotherapy for cancer that can cause a neurotoxicity. If a person does drugs and alchohol this can cause memory loss difficulties. Multiple Sclerosis can cause it. Food additives such as aspartame may cause it, as well as seizures. Nutrient imbalances might cause it and I probably only started on the list. A health professional might help with a proper diagnosis but not necessarily a cure unless it is something like a food additive that can be avoided.

Re: bad memory

Have you had any head injury lately? If you do lots of sport like hocky or football kind of thing, it is common to hit on the head in the game. Or if you hit on your head somehow... Anyway, check with a doctor to see what is going on. It may also be depression or vitamin issues.

Take care,
NC

Re: bad memory

Hi Aben,
You said you have this problem from start and it gets worst in these days.
Have you went to any neuro surgeon or psychiatrist?
Start some mind games. i.e puzzles, scrabble, chess etc
Start eating almonds and walnuts. They are good for memory.
