Hey guys first time posting here
Ok so here is the deal , it goes back about 6 months where I had an infected ear - took some drops but never finished all of my anti biotics. About 3 months after that I caught a very bad case of infection in my throat and neck area and had to take antibiotics again and stay home with the flu.The doctor prescribed me a form of antibiotics that only had about 10 pills for 3 days or so, at the time I thought that this was weird but I didn't question it. Some time passed and I got better but after a while one of my salivary glands on my right side grew very large. I went to a specialist and he told me it should be ok to rub it and eat sour candy. He never game me any medication- he took a MRI and said its just inflamed and most likely a side affect of the infection. In the same MRI he noticed a slightly large lymph node by the back of my neck but a surgeon ( friend of his) told me its benign and not to worry about it. Its been about 6 months now and I developed a small bump on the front by my rib area. I have pain there when I twist my body and turn it around - the pain also extends to my lower back. I went to a Doctor he looked at it and said I need to go to a orthopedist and ordered a MRI and X-ray of that area. The X-ray showed nothing really and the MRI showed that I had a Enlarged - Spleen. Now here is where I am , I have a slightly enlarged spleen which is what is most likely causing my back/rib area pain. They want me to get blood work done next Tuesday (today is Thursday). I am really concerned if this could be caner or something. Last bit of details is that I smoke marijuana occasionally and it has been really bothering my throat allot, I noticed I can easily loose my voice and when I swallow during the day my throat hurts me. I went to my dentist for some work and he told me the back of my throat is really red. Now I don't want to skew everyones opinion here because I smoke pot at times. But can the fact that my infection in my throat never recovered fully because I am smoking pot and hence forced my spleen to grow because it can't kill the infection or can there be a bigger issue. I am just getting very worried. I have gained 10 lbs and feel pretty healthy , I am feeling actually fine other than this weird side pain and weird sore throat at times that hurts me when I move my head back and raise my shoulders to basically force my throat in a weird position. ( Think laying down flat with say 2 - 3 pillows under your head and then I will feel a weird throat pain , as if it was sore.
