Broken Foot?

About 5 minutes ago, I hit my foot really hard on my bed post. It hurt badly, but I just shook it off. 2 minutes ago when I went to the bathroom, my foot hurt with every step I took near the front area (right foot). It's about a 7 on a 1-10 scale of pain. Is it broken, or is it normal after hitting your foot hard on a bedpost? Should I have it checked out in the ER?

Re: Broken Foot?

Not the toes, but almost the toes. Although the toes are too feeling some pain from when I hit them on the post.

Re: Broken Foot?

If you don't want to go to the doctor to have it checked, you could put a cold pack on it to reduce swelling and give it a couple of days. You'll know by then by the pain whether or not it's broken.

Re: Broken Foot?

Ok, I'll try that out. I probably should also ask my mom to take a look at it when she gets home, as she's a RN at the local hospital.
