| Concerned... is this just a pulled muscle or worse?
Ok, I have a bit of a delimma at the moment. I have been having pains in my upper left abdomen, just under my ribs. It also spreads to my back sometimes too. It is not too painful, just sometimes dull and throbbing. I usually don't feel it in the morning when I wake up, but as the day goes on it gets worse. I can't necessarily pin point the pain to after meals either. I looked this up, and the main thing that worries me is pancreatitis. I think it could be this because the Friday before last, I got really drunk and spent the whole night and the early part of the next day throwing up. I have never been that sick drunk. The pain started the Sunday after this. It was very dull at first and only gets worse as the day goes along. I haven't had any other symptoms, except for yesterday when I had diarreah after everything I ate. I have not had fever. I had some this morning too. For four days I have been trying to eat really healthy as well.
I told my sister, who is a nurse, about this middle of last week, and she said if I did not have any other symptoms, then I probably pulled a muscle when I was throwing up.
To add fuel to the fire, the night before I was feeling pain, my friend pulled me down onto my side, by accident. It didn't hurt too bad at the time, and I didn't fall far, so I son't see how this pain could be lasting for over a week. However, I tought that might be something causing the pain.
I would normally have gone to a doctor by now, but I have no insurance, and have hardly any money left until pay day. Can anyone tell me what they think about this? I don't want to ignore the pain, but I don't know how I'm going to see a doctor either.
And I doubt this is related, but I do have acid reflux from time to time when I don't eat properly.
