24 hour urine test

Hello Everyone,

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate section for this question or not. Anyway, I am taking a 24 hour urine test soon to test for Cushing's Syndrome. I am curious to hear of others that have done that test and if there is anything I need to know to help ensure my results are as accurate as possible to determine if I have Cushings or not.

A little background. I have Hashimotos which I have had for the last several years and many doctors and myself believed that my symptoms were primarily related to that. However, my symptoms have only gotten worse instead of better over the years even when my thyroid is well within normal limits.

I also am developing what appears to be a very small hump on the back of my neck which was not there even a few years ago. I also have blood pressure that has increased from 102/60 to as high as 137/80. Weight gain of a good 55 pounds which is mostly in my face (when I smile), back, a little in my stomach, and quite a bit in my thighs. My lower legs and arms have not changed much from the days of my previous healthy weight which doesn't make a lot of sense. It would make sense that my weight gain was evenly distributed in all areas.

I also developed very significant stretch marks when I was pregnant. I assumed that they were from being pregnant but now see that stretch marks over an inch wide can be a symptom of Cushings. Some of mine are quite large and still very noticeable many years later.

Also of note, I catch literally everything that is going around. I've had bronchitis twice along with other infections in the last three years. The last one, I felt so sick that I thought I was going to die. I had linguring wheezing from it for a good six months after antibiotics and the cough which only lasted for the first month or so. In other words, I get sick frequently and more importantly take a long time compared to most people to recover from them.

Thank you for your time,
