Knot and Radiating Pain

I'm sorry if this is not the right place for this. Feel free to move it.

Anyways, I'm here because I'm stumped. For the past year at least, I've had this *knot* along the medial border of my scapula. It is quite large though not always easily palpable. Sometimes it takes going a bit deeper to feel it. Peoples' reactions when they feel it is usually "wow." I have severe radiating pain and tingling down the corresponding arm and hand. My wrist is really weak in that hand.

I've been getting at least 3 massage treatments per week for the last few months and there is really no difference. Today in particular it is very bad.

Is this just a simple case of a pinched nerve? It just seems odd that it wouldn't go away within a year, especially with all of the massage treatments.

Anyways, just looking for any input. I feel like if I go to a doctor they are going to tell me that it's a pinched nerve and to suck it up. Which really isn't helpful because it's really irritating and bothersome.

Thank you in advance.
