| Plasma Donation
So I recently started donating plasma at a commercial center about two months ago. They allow you to donate twice a week and if you do so you get $50 per week. I have been wondering if there are any long term effects of donating twice per week and if it is safe to donate that often. I've talked to many people and I've heard mixed things. Some people have told me that since its 90% water that it gets replaced within 48 hours which is why you can keep coming back. Other people have told me not to donate that often because it just doesn't seem right. I was wondering if you guys had any input on donating that often and if there are any reasons not to donate twice a week. They return your red blood cells during the process so you aren't losing the important stuff. Also at the end they give you 500mL of saline to help replace the fluids that they took out.
