Re: missed days on antibiotics, got back and took two cycles and have a fever now
Antibiotics start killing harmful bacteria from the very first day of use. So..... after the first day, the weakest bacteria has been killed off by the antibiotic. Usually it takes 7-10 days to kill ALL of the nasty, basically invisible, harmful, little bacterial critters in most common infections.
At the end of the 7-10 days, of the prescription, the strongest, toughest, nastiest bacteria finally and hopefully deep-sixes it.
Bacteria can be very very clever little suckers. Before they finally succumb to the antibiotics, they start to learn how to survive the antibiotic. Each time that you start and stop an antibiotic, little, possibly deadly, and very destructive bacteria learn (evolve) stronger defenses against that particular antibiotic.
Starting and stopping an antibiotic is similar to playing Russian Roulette with one's health.
If it were me, I would contact the doctor and ask him the best course of action.
