Advice needed, symptoms usually occur after eating
Hi all,
I'm a 27 year old male from UK, avg height, avg weight.
For the past 6 days in a row I've been having the exact same problem everyday. I'll eat lunch & then about 30 min later my energy crashes & it seems almost as if my body shuts down for about 2 hours.
I'm finding it very weird, it's not like a bout of tiredness or lack of energy, I find it almost impossible to actually stay awake with other symptoms of vision becoming unfocused & clumsiness. Before this sudden onset I usually feel fresh, energized & motivated & what is even more confusing is that once this 'attack' has worn off I have a refreshed, focused & energized disposition..
I admit that my diet has been pretty bad for the past few years, lots of ft food, microwavable ready meals etc but since this has started happening I have made a lot of effort to eat healthy; cutting down on carbs & increasing protein in the morning & eating lots of veg & salad with meals, but still I am experiencing this problem.
I visited my doctor yesterday, I wont go into detail but he was useless & patronizing, Needless to say I will be changing my GP over the next few days.
Until then if anyone can give me any advice or has experienced similar symptoms I would greatly appreciate any feedback you can give me.

Well, sometimes people get drowsy after eating a big meal, or after eating a lot of sugar. Is it possible for you to eat a midmorning snack? Try eating a bigger breakfast and smaller lunch, anyway.

Thanks for your response.
I've tried various different approaches with my diet but unfortunately none have made any difference?
I had lunch today & had to take a 15 minute nap before resuming work, I have however been fine all afternoon although I did experience sleep paralysis upon waking.
I went to a 'walk in' NHS clinic this afternoon & had both blood sugar & blood pressure checks which were both normal, the nurse was a lot more help then my doctor but also could not work out what may be causing these symptoms...
I have a blood test booked but its not until May 6th! It's beginning to get a little frustrating to say the least
