I took 15-20 Painkillers in an attempt to kill myself, nobody knows and its been about 15 hours since i took the pills. Please try to help me out and don't say "go see a doctor", i need to keep this private...
I feel like i have the flu, my stomach is a little upset and i have some diarehha. I'm in no serious pain, and besides this everything seems to be alright. I have a pretty strong body, it can honestly probably handle this.
It was really bad about an hour after i took the medication, but everything has been getting better overtime, so i'm pretty sure the worst of the worst is over.
I'm having no lower back pain, so my kidneys are doing fine. I haven't thrown up either, which is a good sign because if its really bad, you usually would throw up.
All i really have is an upset stomach and a sore gut, should i be okay? I took some pepto bimsol and it got a little better, if it was really serious it probably wouldn't make a difference, like if i had stomach ulcers pepto wouldn't help obviously... and i'd be in alot more pain.
There are no healthcare professionals on HealthBoards, just fellow patients.
Perhaps if you post the name of the painkillers, someone who has had some experience with it might be able to share their own experiences with that painkiller, or with coping with depression, with you.
In the meantime, I hope that no damage has been done to you, and that whatever problems drove you to do this can be fixed.
Hi I would at least take a quart of water with a tablespoon of steam activated charcoal stirred in from a local health food place to absorb poisons. Then I would do that again later in the day a couple more times. I might do that for a few days. Capsules for gas problems or sore throats can sometimes be found at the pharmacies. damage can be done to organs such as kidneys and liver with overdosage. Damage to these organs may impair health later. Emergency rooms also have charcoal available for this very purpose in case none can be located in town.
