worried about weight loss and arm weakness
Can someone please give me advice? I've lost 11 pounds in about 3 to 8 months (I can't be sure when it occurred since I don't weigh my self often) going from 171 to 160. I am 53, a fitness addict, mostly yoga, some karate and have not changed my eating habits in years. In response to this weight loss, I had a colonoscopy (came back fine) and blood work - also no problem. Ten days ago, I began to have right arm weakness and can't raise my arm over my head (In the shower I need to raise it with my left hand in order to wash). Doctor said it was probably bursitis and gave me a cortisone shot 5 days ago but so far, nothing has changed. Since I noticed the weight loss 3 and half weeks ago, I've began to eat much more food than normal, full pizzas, lots of carbs, power bars etc but have not gained more than 1 pound. Now I'm at 161. I have not lost more weight. The doctors are all saying there is nothing more to do right now but I am very worried that my weight is not rising and the arm is not getting better. Note - there is no arm pain unless I try to raise it. Otherwise, it's fine. Please pass along your thoughts. Thanks!
