Not sure where to post this so I thought I would start here. About 2 months ago, I had a strange feeling in my upper left thigh. I would get a warm feeling in my thigh almost like I had a heating pad on it or something. But if I would touch it, it would not feel warm at all.. Just felt warm from the inside. I noticed over the past 2 months that I have a lump or something there now..It is kinda large, more like a mass. It is very soft, actually looks like cellulite or something. Not sure how to describe it. It is not painful, not discolored, but it's probably about the size of my fist. You can see a little bit of an indentation where it comes up from my leg. I went to a DR. last week about other issues and had her look at my leg. She said it does not seem like cellulitis or a tumor or anything to worry about but we are going to check it again in 4 weeks when I go back for my bloodwork for something else. Does anyone know what this might be? She said we could always do a CT scan or something if it's still there but she was not worried, should I be?
Did your Dr. say what she thought it might be? I know she ruled out a couple of things but I think if I had a lump the size of my fist on my leg I would want to know WHY! Very surprised the Dr. is just brushing it off without knowing exactly what it could be. No..it may not be anything serious but I certainly would like some explanation.
When you come to the end of your rope..tie a knot and hang on!
I think I made it sound bigger than it is. It is a spot about the diameter of my fist but not as thick or big as a fist. It is just a soft lump, can't feel anything under it or anything at all.. Like I said before, it is almost like cellulite but it just came up kinda quickly. She told me to keep an eye on it and we will recheck it in 3 weeks. If it doesn't go away, she said she will do a CT scan to see. But she said she saw nothing alarming about it, but of course she didnt know what it was. So, we will see. I love getting old, its always something :-)
