Dripping sensation on leg?

I've had this sensation for a couple weeks now.

I would describe the sensation as someone holding an eye dropper close to my leg, dripping water droplets, and then the water trickling down?

It only happens on my right leg, the back of the leg more specifically. And the left side of the back of my leg to get even more specific.

It comes and goes. No pain.

I decided to google it and the first result to come up was MS. So naturally I'm kinda freaking out. I had shingles a few years ago. On my lower back right side. I know it all has to do with nerves. Don't know much about MS, but anyway... Hoping it might just be stress or a pinched nerve or something.

Any ideas?

Oh, and I'm a 22 yo female. Thanks for reading!

Re: Dripping sensation on leg?

That is a weird sensation to try and describe. Like you, the only thing I can think of is some kind of a nerve thing. If it was a pinched nerve I would expect it to hurt, but sometimes if it "tingles" it also could be a nerve.

Are you maybe sleeping or sitting a certain way that may be causing this and how long does it last? I know at times if I sleep wrong or sit at this computer too long my left leg near the calf will get a weird feeling till I get up and walk around for a few minutes. It almost feels like a nerve is twitching.

Wish I could be of more help....JJ...

Re: Dripping sensation on leg?

There are cutaneous nerves running down the leg close to the skin. The peroneal and its branches.
Sometimes , it is described as "something kind of crawing on the skin"
if you are concerned about it , best to talk to your doctor.

At 22 , it is highly unlikely that you have any nerve degeneration or any problems with circulation to the nerves.

Doctors can do a nerve conduction test and also check the blood supply to the lower limb.

Are you over weight? I'm 25 and over weight...have the same thing and my doctor says it's just my fat pressing on a nerve.
