Feeling of Burp Stuck in Throat

For the past few nights I got this feeling like there is a burp stuck in my throat. It stays there for about an hour before I am able to burp and clear it away. Well, it happened again last night except this time the feeling didn't go away in that hour. I actually still have the feeling this morning and I have burped a couple of times. I don't understand this. This feeling is so annnoying. How do I make it go away?

Re: Feeling of Burp Stuck in Throat

It's most likely reflux and you might have some mild inflammation in your throat caused by it.

Try taking over the counter Zantac 75mg to start twice a day a half hour before meals to see if that helps. That was the suggestion my doc gave me when I lost my voice because of reflux. If I improved over a week, I was to increase to 150mg twice a day...which I did for a while. Now I'm just at 150mg once a day.

Hope this helps.

Re: Feeling of Burp Stuck in Throat

I have responded to a similar post on another thread that is very like this. zantac is good I used it during my pregnancies but found I need to guzzle it more and more. eventually I found an alternative remedy which is cheap and very very affective for both reflux, tummy issues and constipation. try taking 2 psyllium hull capsules with each meal as you are eating, it has to go down with the food to be affective. this stuff is so good I add it in its loose form to my cereal and also when I am baking bread or scones! it looks like bran but is very easy to take in capsules! hope this helps!
