Leg Cramps

Please help. This is so annoying.

I have been feeling these minor cramps in different spots on both legs. They always occur below the knee. When I feel them the only way to get them to go away is to stretch my leg, shake it out, or move in some way. It doesn't matter whether I am sitting, standing, or walking. It doesn't matter whether it is morning, afternoon, or evening. However, these cramps do not effect my sleep, which makes me happy.

Can someone please explain why this is happening? It just started happening one day out of nowhere. I would really like it to stop.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Leg Cramps

Sometimes leg cramps can be caused from muscle fatigue, heavy lifting, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance like not enough potassium or calcium. There are even certain medications like statins or prednisone can cause them as well. If they keep up have your Dr. check it out. Right now I guess just stretching your legs or even rubbing them may help or even just walking around as it could be restless leg syndrome.

Best wishes and hope this helped some..JJ...

Re: Leg Cramps

Hi, I agree with the other writer but when I had leg cramps I drank a little tonic water with quinine and it seemed to help. If that didn't work then there might be a circulation problem that you might have to see a doctor. Best wishes. Hope it gets better.
