Sore throat, phlegm, tiredness. Post-glandular fever.

So I had glandular fever about 10 months ago. 2 weeks of being bedridden from exhaustion, but then I was 'okay'. However, ever since, i've been coughing up lots of phlegm throughout the day and my throat never feels clear. It's always sore and certain things make it worse, like energy drinks and milk. I also find myself easily exhausted, which doesn't help as i'm in college 7 hours of the day and come home and sleep.

Do you think this is a result of glandular fever, as the symptoms are a muted form, but still similar? What can I do to fix this? I've tried gargling saltwater and anti-bacterial mouthwash, I don't know what else to do and it's really making my breath smell and feel sick.

Thanks for any help you can give, i'm 17, 6'2 and 185lbs.

I am not sure what glandular fever is?? I too have a persistent sore throat and lots of excess phlegm. I went to an ENT doctor and he did a scope thing thru my nose and down the back of my throat. I thought I had post nasal drip but he thinks I have acid reflux even though I do not have any heartburn.

You may want to look up post viral fatigue - essentially the symptoms of a virus can continue even after the body appears to have beaten it. If you're unsure go to your doc and ask their advice on where to go next.
