Long lasting low grade fever and cough
I have been sick for a month now. When I first got sick I had a fever that was about 102 but it has since gone down to 99 to 100 and stayed there, it won't go away completely. I have a really bad cough, my entire body is just achy, and I'm really tired and I have trouble concentrating and focusing. I also have a splitting headache half the time. My appetite is normal. I also go from really hot to really cold at night and I start sweating if I use a blanket, even a light one, when I'm really hot, and then when I'm cold, even my heaviest blanket won't keep me warm.
I'm trying to get some ideas of what this might be to take to the doctor. They did bloodwork and couldn't find any signs of a bacteria last week. The only thing that relieves anything is codeine/promethazine syrup which lessens the headache to only a dull ache and slows the cough a little. It also lets me sleep. I'm a 24 year old woman, I have cough variant asthma, depression, and just diagnosed with ADD in the last year (but the lack of focus is worse than normal). I was born with craniosynostosis but that was completely fixed by surgeries by the time I was 6- but at this point I have no idea if possibly that has anything to do with what is going on now. It's worth mentioning at least.
In the last week I've also gotten a stuffy nose and sneezing more often, but that wasn't there at the start and could very well just be a minor cold on top of everything else. Sudafed clears it up pretty well.
