Sharp pain down outside of leg
The last few weeks I feel this in my right leg when I lay in bed on my right side. It starts about half-way down my upper leg to almost the knee area. I don't feel it any other time - I can sit, stand, walk and lay on my left side and no problem. It intensifies if I try to turn over or move my right leg when laying on my right side. When I do turn to my left side, the pain goes away. On a recent routine visit to my doctor, I told her and she said it was probably bursitis and would resolve itself in a day or two, but it hasn't. It's no worse, but not any better, either. My doctor's office is now closed for several weeks over the holidays. I wanted to know if it could be bursitis, or something else and what I can do, if anything, about it.
